About me

Hi, I’m Eric Wu — a composer and musician who believes that music speaks where words fall short.

Since the age of three, I’ve been drawn to sound as a language of emotion — from the piano that shaped my earliest melodies, to the percussion instruments that taught me rhythm and movement. Over time, composing became my way of translating thoughts and feelings into something beyond words — something that connects, resonates, and lingers.

My works often explore the subtle boundary between emotion and atmosphere — blending classical orchestration with cinematic textures and intimate harmonic colors. Each piece I write is not only a reflection of my inner world, but also an invitation for listeners to find a part of themselves in the sound.

Currently, I’m continuing my musical journey at Berklee College of Music, where I focus on film scoring and the art of storytelling through sound. I believe that music is not just heard — it’s felt, and it’s my mission to craft music that evokes that kind of emotional truth.

Outside of composing, I love discovering new places, reading, and reflecting — moments that continually feed my creativity and inspire my next piece.

Welcome to my world of sound — where emotion becomes melody, and every note tells a story.
